I am 60+ years old, no wife and no children. Currently in the pre-retirement phase to determine whether I can tolerate the Northeast winters without going batshit crazy until I relocate. Other than my friends, my goddaughter, and puppy I have zero responsibilities and could really give a fuck. I live by a simple motto; “If it does not impact me, I don’t give a fuck”. Makes everything much easier.
Several friends that have recently passed were in their fifties and made me gain a little perspective. No one promised me tomorrow so why the fuck am I working today.
My sense of humor is not appreciated by all, and some may find it offensive. I am not trying to be offensive, just during my era there was no such thing as being offensive, hell everyone was offensive, so it was the norm. No one claimed to be unable to function because they felt that someone had been offensive or insensitive towards them. You fucking sucked it up and moved forward. The continued claims of offensiveness, insensitivity and political correctness are exactly why we are currently living in this shitstorm with no end in sight. If you feel as though I am offensive or insensitive, do not expect me to conform to such idiotic behavior. Maybe, you should conform to my behavior or we meet in the middle, but most do not believe in middle ground. If you feel as though I am insensitive, go rub your hairless cat because he probably cares about the same fucking amount. Do not whine about something I have written because I do not give a fuck.
