Great Barolo information on the Independent Wine® website
The nebbiolo is the same grape varietal as the richer more complex Barolo and Barbaresco, but due to the cooler, higher altitude of this DOC rarely reaches the same high levels of concentration. Small commune of Sizzano Piemonte. One of the smallest, oldest, and most well established DOCs in Italy but hardly known outside of the region. The Nebbiolo grown at this high altitude is fruitier and more refreshing compared to Barolo and just like a Columbian hooker, ends with a clean finish.
I realize that 2017 is not one of the more sought out vintages, but how the fuck could I go wrong with a solid 92 rating. Aroma is mostly berries along with the taste. Needs a good hour in the decanter to soften and believe it needs a few more years in the cellar.
Seriously, 2016 is one of the best vintages ever and picked up this bargain. Excellent ruby color, great flavor with smooth finish.
This Barolo is okay, rather dry finish but nothing really stands out. Similar to the response given whether your blind date is good looking or not. She ain't pretty but she can suck a dick. Works every time.
Similar to the butterface chick you see and pick up at the bar while drunk, medium body that is just enough to take home but not much else going on. High tannins which should smooth out with age and provide a better overall flavor.
The critics or people that know what the fuck they are speaking about proclaimed the 2016 vintage as one of the best, so not as though I was taking a huge leap of faith with this purchase.
Aromas of sweet berries with a tad floral note. This win has so many flavors blended together, yet leaves nothing behind. The fruit from 10 vineyards, beginning 2013, are blended together and what a fucking outstanding job. Medium to full bodied, slightly tanicky, so give it a little time to smooth out.

Another great find with this Barolo, similar to finding the one Easter egg with cash inside. Should be better within a year or two, but pretty damn good now. Medium to full bodied, minimal tannins and a smooth medium finish.
Another nebbiolo, but not a Barolo. One dreary Sunday afternoon, I met a friend at a local wine bar. I was not in the mood for a cab, so perusing the wine menu, selected partially on price and what a great snatch one out of the ass for blind luck.
Bright red with intense aromas of multiple fruits and berries. Medium body, just so fucking fresh tasting, it makes summertime so much better. Ends with a long fruity finish. Arrived home, straight to the internet and purchased 3 cases.
